The Safety Light Curtain is an optical sensor that creates a safety barrier. When any object or person enters the area protected by the light curtain, a signal is sent to promptly stop the machine and trigger an alarm. This device effectively safeguards both people and property, offering a safe and cost-effective solution.
Pilz offers two types of Safety Light Curtains: PSENopt and PSENopt II.
The sensor is installed at points of interaction with machinery, and the PSENopt / PSENopt II optical sensors are used to separate and protect hazardous areas.
The device can be combined with optical sensors to utilize the Mute function, allowing goods and materials to pass safely and flexibly into and out of hazardous areas.
